Feeding Tips
Dehydrated beef liver is a high-value, nutrient-rich treat dogs love! Because liver is very rich, it should be fed in moderation.
To Feed Safely:
- Offer beef liver as a treat, not a meal replacement.
- Feed in small pieces, especially for small dogs and puppies.
- Limit liver treats to no more than 5% of your dog’s total daily food intake.
- Always supervise your dog while treating.
- Provide plenty of fresh water nearby.
Helpful Notes:
- Overfeeding liver can lead to Vitamin A toxicity over time so moderation is key!
- Ideal for training, rewards, or occasional enrichment.
If your dog has a sensitive stomach or is new to organ treats, start with a small amount and monitor for any digestive upset.
Storage
Keep in a cool/dry place. Our dehydrated products are free of preservatives, and although it is very uncommon, bugs and mold (from added moisture) are your two culprits for causing trouble.
Our bagged products do great in the bag they come in. Just keep them away from wet environments and the bag closed when you aren't using them. For longer storage, the freezer can be a great way to keep our products fresh, and away from insects and pests that might show interest.
