Feeding Tips
Dehydrated chicken feet are a natural, crunchy treat that can be safely enjoyed by most dogs. They are fully dehydrated, which makes them dry and crumbly rather than raw or brittle like cooked bones. This reduces the risk of splintering.
To Feed Safely:
- Offer chicken feet as an occasional treat, not a meal replacement.
- Always supervise your dog while chewing.
- Suitable for adult dogs and puppies over 12 weeks old.
- Introduce slowly if it’s your dog’s first time eating natural chews.
- Provide plenty of fresh water nearby.
- If your dog is a fast eater or gulps treats, consider holding the foot while they chew or choosing an alternative chew better suited to their style.
Helpful Notes:
Not recommended for dogs with poultry allergies or dogs with a history of digestive issues.
If you have any concerns based on your dog’s chewing habits or health, consult your veterinarian before introducing new treats.
Storage
Keep in a cool/dry place. Our dehydrated products are free of preservatives, and although it is very uncommon, bugs and mold (from added moisture) are your two culprits for causing trouble.
Our bagged products do great in the bag they come in. Just keep them away from wet environments and the bag closed when you aren't using them. For longer storage, the freezer can be a great way to keep our products fresh, and away from insects and pests that might show interest.
